Getting There — Metro Is the Answer
Mt. Vernon Square / 7th St–Convention Center (Green/Yellow Lines) — drops you at the front entrance via the 7th Street Convention Center exit. The direct connection. From Maryland: board the Green Line at Greenbelt or College Park. From Virginia: Yellow Line from Huntington or Eisenhower Avenue.
Gallery Place–Chinatown (Red/Green/Yellow Lines) — one stop away, about a 5-minute walk. Good for Red Line riders coming from Shady Grove, Rockville, or Glenmont without transferring.
Shaw–Howard University (Green/Yellow Lines) — one stop in the other direction. Good if you’re staying in Shaw or Columbia Heights.
Parking Near the Convention Center
The convention center is in the heart of DC downtown — parking exists but fills fast on convention weekends. Don’t arrive Friday or Saturday morning expecting street parking near the center. Pre-book before you leave home.

- DC in late July is hot. The convention center is air-conditioned but outdoor lines form for popular events. Water and comfortable shoes are non-negotiable.
